Ultra Informed, 2026 Single-channel real-time video installation, with sound Microphone input, custom software (TouchDesigner) Variable Duration

Ultra Informed shows a 3D scan of the artist's head, rotating slowly against a audio reactive background. A single kick drum loops throughout. A microphone in the gallery picks up ambient speech and feeds it into the work in real time. In silence, the image is muted and nearly grayscale. When visitors speak near the piece, color enters the composition and the head spins depending on how loud people are.

The piece is about the experience of being constantly informed, of living inside a feed that never closes. News, notifications, opinions, voices are things that we are constantly exposed to. To be ultra informed is to have crossed the threshold past which more information stops adding clarity and starts producing noise.

The spinning head is the body trying to keep up. The kick drum is the rhythm of input. The audience's voices overwhelm the piece. Suggesting that we might all need some quiet and a break from the information that we are constantly being thrown at.
